Frequently Asked Questions
Enter the angle, make sure DEG or RAD mode is correct, then press sin/cos/tan. sin(30°)=0.5, cos(60°)=0.5, tan(45°)=1. For inverse (finding angle from ratio): use sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹. Most common mistake: being in the wrong angle mode.
log = log₁₀ (base 10). log(100) = 2, log(1000) = 3. ln = logₑ (natural log, base e≈2.718). ln(e) = 1, ln(1) = 0. Engineering/chemistry typically uses log₁₀; calculus and physics use ln.
n! = n × (n-1) × … × 2 × 1. Enter the number, press n!. Examples: 5! = 120, 10! = 3,628,800, 20! ≈ 2.43 × 10¹⁸. 0! = 1 by definition. This calculator handles factorials up to about 170 before reaching Infinity.
