Is a 20% discount on ₹1,000 the same as two 10% discounts?
No. Two successive 10% discounts give a final price of ₹1,000 × 0.9 × 0.9 = ₹810, which is a 19% total discount — slightly less than a straight 20% discount (₹800). Successive discounts always compound.
