How the timesheet works
Each day's hours are the time from start to end, minus the unpaid break. When the end time is earlier than the start, the calculator assumes the shift ran past midnight and adds the extra hours, so a 10 PM to 6 AM shift correctly reads as eight hours. Add an hourly rate and the total hours are multiplied out into gross pay.
Frequently asked questions
What time formats can I use?
Both 24-hour (09:00, 17:30) and 12-hour with AM/PM (9:00 AM, 5:30 PM) work. Keep a colon between hours and minutes.
Is this gross or take-home pay?
Gross — total hours times your rate, before any tax or deductions.
Does it calculate overtime?
Not automatically. It gives total paid hours; apply your own overtime rules to hours beyond your threshold.
