Common conversions

Feet to metres

1 foot = 0.3048 metres. To convert feet to metres, multiply by 0.3048. For example, 6 feet = 6 × 0.3048 = 1.83 metres. This is commonly needed in civil engineering and real estate in India.

Celsius to Fahrenheit

F = (C × 9/5) + 32. For example, 37°C (body temperature) = (37 × 1.8) + 32 = 98.6°F. To go the other way: C = (F − 32) × 5/9.
