About Daily Water Intake

Does the 8 glasses rule work?

The "8 glasses a day" rule is a rough guideline. Your actual needs depend on body weight, activity, climate, and health. This calculator gives a personalised estimate based on these factors.

Does tea and coffee count?

Yes, tea, coffee, juice, and other beverages contribute to your daily fluid intake. However, caffeinated drinks have a mild diuretic effect, so don't rely on them entirely. Water remains the best choice.

Signs you are not drinking enough

Dark yellow urine, dry mouth, headaches, fatigue, and reduced concentration are common signs of mild dehydration. Aim for pale yellow urine as an indicator of good hydration.
