How eligibility is calculated

What is FOIR?

Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio (FOIR) is the maximum percentage of your income that banks allow for all EMI payments combined. Most banks use 40–50%. Higher income earners may get up to 60%.

What other factors affect eligibility?

Credit score (CIBIL score above 750 is ideal), employment type (salaried vs self-employed), age, property type, and existing liabilities all affect the final loan amount a bank offers.

Can I add a co-applicant?

Yes. Adding a spouse or parent as co-applicant increases your combined income, which can significantly boost your loan eligibility. Enter combined income in the form above.
